Standards(ASME/ANSI B16.9)
Our butt-weld pipe fittings are supplied in accordance with ASME/ANSI B16.9, covering factory-made wrought fittings for industrial piping systems. The standard defines dimensional and tolerancing requirements to ensure proper fit-up, consistent wall thickness alignment, and reliable performance in service.
ASME B16.9 applies to common fitting types including elbows, tees, reducers, caps, and stub ends, with dimensions based on nominal pipe size (NPS) and pipe schedules. Compliance with this standard supports interchangeability, accurate welding alignment, and consistent installation across a wide range of industrial applications.
By supplying fittings to ASME B16.9, we help ensure dimensional compatibility between pipe and fittings, supporting reliable fabrication, welding, and long-term system integrity for project applications in Canada.
Fitting Types
-
Butt-Weld Elbows
-
Used to change flow direction in piping systems, available in various angles to suit layout and pressure requirements.
-
-
Butt-Weld Tees
-
Designed to create branch connections, allowing flow distribution or collection within piping systems.
-
-
Butt-Weld Reducers
-
Used to connect pipes of different diameters, available in concentric and eccentric configurations to meet process and drainage requirements.
-
-
Butt-Weld Caps
-
Installed at the end of piping systems to terminate lines or allow for future extensions.
-
-
Stub Ends
-
Used in conjunction with lap joint flanges to facilitate easy alignment and dismantling, commonly applied where frequent maintenance is required.
-
All fittings are supplied in accordance with ASME B16.9, ensuring dimensional consistency, proper weld fit-up, and compatibility with pipe schedules and materials for industrial and project applications.
